Situated in proximity to Jim Corbett’s Dhela Zone, the Phato Zone now offers jungle safaris with a fleet of 50 jeeps for both morning and afternoon slots. Presently, entry permits are available at the Phato entry gate, with plans underway to facilitate online bookings through the government portal. The entry gate is conveniently positioned 23 kilometers away in Maldhan village from Ramnagar. For an exhilarating Phato Zone safari, visitors can secure a jeep booking from Ramnagar. Phato Zone is a pristine wilderness area that beckons nature enthusiasts, wildlife lovers, and adventure seekers to explore its unspoiled landscapes and diverse flora and fauna.

The scenery in the Phato region is beautiful. It is distinct from the rest of Corbett’s regions. It also has a large number of tigers, elephants, deer, and other animals. The likelihood of encountering a tiger in the Phato Zone is substantial, with numerous tourists reporting tiger sightings since the gate’s inauguration.. Because the forest is dense in the Phato zone, there is an abundance of tigers as well as other fauna.In the Phato region, there are 7-8 water reservoirs. Some are natural, while others are artificial. These watering holes are an important element of the forest since animals frequent them to satisfy their thirst. As a result, these water holes are also ideal locations to spot animals in their native habitat. The Royal Bengal Tigers are frequently seen near these reservoirs.
