Day 1: Arrival at Jim Corbett & Entry into Dhikala Zone
Morning: Arrival at Jim Corbett National Park
- Arrive at Ramnagar, the gateway to Jim Corbett National Park, by road or rail. A private jeep will pick you up and drive you through the lush forest to the Dhikala Zone, one of the most sought-after areas within the park.
Afternoon: Check-in & Relaxation
- Check in at the Dhikala Forest Lodge, the only accommodation available within the core area of the park. The lodge offers rustic charm with basic amenities, ensuring an immersive jungle experience.
Evening: First Safari into the Wild
- Embark on your first wildlife safari in the Dhikala Zone. This area is known for its high tiger density, and you might spot the elusive Bengal tiger, herds of elephants, and other wildlife like deer, wild boars, and a variety of bird species.
Night: Dinner and Rest at the Lodge
- After an exhilarating safari, return to the lodge for a hearty dinner. The rest of the evening is at leisure to relax and enjoy the natural sounds of the jungle.
Day 2: Full Day Dhikala Safari Adventure
Morning: Sunrise Safari
- Wake up early for a sunrise safari. The early morning hours are the best time for wildlife viewing, as animals are most active at dawn. Capture the breathtaking beauty of the jungle as the sun rises over the horizon.
Midday: Return to the Lodge for Breakfast
- After a thrilling morning safari, return to the lodge for breakfast. Enjoy some leisure time, or explore the area around the lodge, which offers stunning views of the Ramganga River and surrounding forest.
Afternoon: Exploration & Wildlife Tracking
- After lunch, head out for another safari, this time focusing on different areas of the Dhikala Zone. The vast grasslands of Dhikala, known as the ‘Chaurs,’ are perfect for spotting herds of deer and wild elephants.
Evening: Relaxation & Dinner
- Return to the lodge for dinner. As night falls, listen to the distant calls of the wild and enjoy the serenity of the jungle.
Day 3: Final Safari & Departure
Morning: Last Safari & Farewell to the Jungle
- Start your day with one last safari. This is your final chance to capture any missed sightings and soak in the natural beauty of Dhikala.
Late Morning: Check-out & Exit the Park
- After breakfast, check out from the lodge and head back to Ramnagar. Your jeep will drive you through the forest, giving you a last glimpse of the wildlife.
Noon: Departure from Ramnagar
- Arrive back at Ramnagar by noon, marking the end of your thrilling 2-night Dhikala adventure.

- Best Time to Visit: The Dhikala Zone is open from mid-November to mid-June. The best time for tiger sightings is from April to June.
- What to Pack: Binoculars, camera, comfortable clothing, and sturdy shoes are essential. Don’t forget sunscreen and insect repellent.
